Puppies

Ted's (Spartan) January puppies are just starting to motor, and showing the zeal for birds that we cherish in our dogs. One of the January puppy owners called me to tell me that he was shooting chukar over his pup and got retrieves to hand on opening weekend. I'm excited about the one I kept, and so are the other owners. Ted's pups are super stylish, and I can honestly recommend them because I own one.

I ran the pup I kept from the January litter in the October 7th local field trial, and took first place in the all age derby. (Ted took first in the shooting dog) Ted is producing real bird dogs that want to work for you. Look for his next litter sometime soon.

Breeding and Sales Philosophy

We sell a limited number of puppies. Usually only 1 or 2 litters per year.

1.  The sires we choose to breed to are the best bred, top field trial dogs in the country, both all age and shooting dogs. We look for dogs that are known producers, not just winners.

2.  We only breed to females that have superior genetics and are hunting dogs who possess the qualities and style we look for in our trial dogs. We strive to have our females be the best bird dogs we own. Our females are not "kennel dogs", they're our hunting dogs, and we like to shoot a limit of birds just as much as you do.

3.  We breed to produce puppies that are classy, smart, biddable, have good noses, excellent conformation and love people.

4.  We will occasionally have 1-2 year old dogs for sale. These will be dogs that have been trained for trialing, but that preferred to be hunting dogs. These will be superior hunting dogs, buy them if you get the opportunity!
